i was shocked when i heard it on the news this morning!
They said that ONE of FIVE in Swedish schools these days doesn't know how to swim!!!
That's a lot!

As for me, i began at age of 4-5 i think? i went with my brother plus as a child i loved being in the water!
so in the end i never went to swimming class with school since i already took it, however it was offered to all students at the time!
Also every year in school we had swimming tests, to prove we actually could swim!
i have no idea, but i thought that was mandatory in Swedish schools!!
For us, if we didn't pass the test, we'd fail gymclass!

Maybe, correct me if I'm wrong, but i think maybe many don't know because of religious reasons to show oneself in public in swim wear.
