2PM makes fans cry, but not from sadness


At its March 27 fan meeting, billed “2PM’s The Hottest Party,” the band had its 4,000 fans laughing and crying through various comedy sketches performed by band members at Kyunghee University.
In an unexpected twist, the band devoted as much time to parodying popular TV shows as it did performing songs. Everything from “Life and Health,” “Live Today,” “Animal Kingdom” and K-dramas were acted out by the band members.
The boy band even had a go at mimicking hit-drama “The Moon Embracing the Sun.” Taecyeon took on dual characters, while Nichkhun’s impersonation of the queen of the Joseon dynasty had the fans in stitches.
During a special segment in which the members read questions asked by fans, Nichkhun showed an insightful side by advising fans to “look at the inner beauty” in a person when searching for a romantic partner.

2PM to host The Hottest Show


Boy band 2PM will host its third official fan meet on April 1. JYP Entertainment announced on March 27 that the fan meeting, titled “2PM’s The Hottest Party,” will be held for the members of the band’s official fan club, known as “Hottest.”
To entertain their fans, members of the band have planned various segments in addition to the usual song and dance routine.
The fan meet in the band’s native country comes hot on the heels of its “Hands Up” world tour, which it concluded on March 10.
“Currently all members are busy rehearsing for the show. They want to make their fans smile, laugh and make sure they have a great time,” said a representative from JYP Entertainment.
The fan meet will be held at the Peace Hall, located inside Kyunghee University.

2PM will hold a fan meeting on April Fool’s Day “Really?”


2PM will be meeting the fans through an official fan meeting.
On March 27, their agency JYP Entertainment revealed, 2PM plans to hold a fan meeting ‘2PM’s The Hottest Party’ with their official fan club ‘Hottest’ on April 1.
This event will be for the third class of 2PM’s fan club, Hottest. 2PM will provide entertainment and give a powerful concert that many fans will look forward to.
A representative of JYP Entertainment reveals, “All the members are working hard to prepare for the fan meeting. This will be the best fan meeting ever, providing plenty of entertainment and giving laughs. I hope many fans cheer us on and look forward to it.”
2PM’s fan meeting will be held on April 1 at Peace Hall of Kyung Hee University.

2PM’s Taec Yeon, Jun Ho and Chan Sung show up at SHINHWA’s concert


At the SHINHWA’s concert, 2012 SHINHWA Grand Tour In Seoul – The Return, held at 5:00 p.m. on March 25 in the Olympic Park, 2PM’s Taec Yeon, Jun Ho and Chan Sung showed up in the seats for the audience. On the same day, Taec Yeon posted a photo on Twitter with the comment: “I had a great time at the SHINHWA’s concert. It was fantastic. I also felt a little jealous of SHINHWA’s fans who shows their power of unity, largely coloring the seats orange color. At the concert, I felt eagerly itched to stand on the same stage together with 2PM’s members.”
Jun Ho as well posted a comment: “I was deeply moved by the concert. Looking at the orange-colored unified wave of fans, I was in an intense envy. It was an amazing concert.”
Chan Sung left his feelings about attending the concert by saying, “It was a great time to be there as one of your fans. You’ve kept the name of SHINHWA for as long as 14 years. I want to pay homage to you guys for your deep, long-held friendship. I wish the friendship of 2PM’s members as well lasts long as yours. You look all very happy today up on the stage together.”

Kim So Eun and 2PM’s Junho share a romantic piano date





Actress Kim So Eun and 2PM’s Junho had a romantic date playing the piano together when they first met.


On March 24th, MBC will broadcast a music romantic reality program titled, ‘Music and Lyrics‘, and Kim So Eun and Junho will be the second couple to appear on the show.


The same aged Kim So Eun and Junho sat next to each other and played “Chopsticks” on the piano together.  They set a very care free vibe and showed their romantic and sweet nature.


Staff members who watched them together said, “Even though it was the first time they met they looked really good together.  We feel that the future broadcasts will also be filled with romance and fun,” raising anticipation for the love song that the two will play together.


Netizens who saw the photo of the two responded, “Piano date~?  It is Spring.  I am envious!“, “So Eun’s and Junho’s eye smile looks the same.  They look good together“, and “I am really looking forward to this couple!  I will make sure to watch the original broadcast.”


‘Music and Lyrics’ puts together a male singer and a female actress, and the two create a love song together.  The program will follow them throughout this process.  The first couple was Yoon Gun and Park Shin Hye.


MBC’s music romantic reality program, ‘Music and Lyrics’ will air on March 24th at 11:00 p.m. KST.

2PM’s Asian tour creates 60 billion won worth of economic value


Boy group 2PM successfully went on a 6 month long Asian tour.
On March 21, according to CJ E & M, 2PM held the ’2PM Hands Up Asia Tour 2011-2012′ starting in September in 2011 through March of this year. They finished touring Asia on March 11 by holding the last concert in Hong Kong.
2PM showed off their power in ticket sales by selling 10,000 seats in Taiwan, 7,000 seats in Jakarta, 8,000 seats in Singapore, 9,000 seats in Bangkok, 9,000 seats in Nanking, and 9,000 seats in Hong Kong.
A spokesperson for M-Live, CJ E & M’s global concert brand which directed 2PM’s concert, says, “Even though the base area of K-pop fever and Hallyu is Asia, there are very few artists who can sell out all of the seats for their 10 concerts, which were held in 8 countries for 6 months.”
“We believe 2PM’s Asia tour has created over 60 billion won worth of economic value. Profits from selling their albums and tickets for their concerts, sponsor, marketing, promotion, value-added expense, and stabilizing Hallyu are also factors.”
Over 7,000 tickets for 2PM’s Indonesian concert sold out in only 1 hour. Indonesian local company says, “There already was a K-pop fever here but after 2PM held their concert, it is at its high pitch.”
Officials in Thailand, one of the biggest markets for K-pop and Nickhun’s hometown, say, “2PM is very popular in Thailand. The group is playing a great role in K-pop fever in Thailand.”
One of the most important reasons for their high popularity is that they think about their local fans by providing autographed posters, choosing local music, and holding signings.
A spokesperson for M-Live says, “Besides holding high quality concerts, a variety of promotions and services for local fans are also necessary to help K-pop globalize.”
JYP Entertainment says, “Thanks to the fans, we had a great result. We are happy to help K-pop artists go to Asia. We also want to thank the Korean fans who have waited for the group while they toured Asia. We will pay back your love by releasing a new Korean album.”

2PM’s Taecyeon writes song for Son Ho Young and Kim Tae Woo?





There’s a lot of interest growing over who 2PM‘s Taecyeon will give his original song to.


On the 18th, Taecyeon tweeted to Park Jin Young, “Let the staff noonas listen to Taecyeon’s third work(unfinished) and this time they said it sounds like G.O.D. I guess I’m a slave of recycling. Well, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I did start my music life with JYP.”


Park Jin Young replied, “The first one was pretty good.. I want to listen to the second and third one already. Especially the third one. If it’s good I’ll let Tae Woo or Ho Young listen to it” which made the fans curious over who will receive Taecyeon’s song.


After seeing the tweets, the netizens commented, “Taecyeon, now writing songs… what can’t you do“,”I want to listen to it too“, and “I think it will be better if 2PM sang it instead of Son Ho Young or Kim Tae Woo“.

2PM turns into Santas “Happy and Merry White Day!”


Popular idol group 2PM gave out a White Day present for the fans.
On March 14 at 6:00 p.m, 2PM’s Ok Taec Yeon uploaded a picture and tweeted, “Guys~ Happy and merry White Day! Spend a good time with your beloved if you have one. The season has passed, but thepicture is a gift!”
Wearing Santa Clause and Rudolph costumes, members of 2PM are posing in a cute way. Woo Young especially gave a good laugh by wearing a Rudolph costume and posing as if he is about to fly.
Netizens commented: “Did 2PM transform to give out candy presents?” “I wouldn’t wish for anything else if they came and gave me candies.” “Woo Young Rudolph~ Please come to our house.”

2PM’s Nichkhun hasn’t changed a bit since childhood





A new childhood photo of 2PM member Nichkhun is drawing attention, as Nichkhun looked exactly the way he does now.


The photo below surfaced on an online community site with the title, “Nichkhun had good looks since he was young.”


The photo was actually Nichkhun’s elementary school graduation photo, and the singer had the same flawless facial features as he does now.


Fans took note of his short haircut, and remarked that he looked like a smart student.


“His good looks were perfected when he was young I see,” netizens wrote, in addition to “Must’ve been a heartbreaker then too.”


In related news, Nichkhun along with the rest of the 2PM members have wrapped up their Asia Tour at Hong Kong on March 10th.

2PM’s compilation album debuts at #2 on Oricon













































Earlier today we reported that Junsu‘s fourth self composition, “Alive“, topped Japan’s biggest digital website chart, ‘Recochoku‘! Now, there’s more good news as 2PM‘s first Greatest hits album ‘2PM Best ~2008–2011 in Korea~‘ debuted in second place on the Oricon Daily Album Chart.


The album sold 16,253 copies which was good enough for second place, the top spot went to SDN48 with ‘NEXT ENCORE‘. 2PM’s album contains all of their best Korean hits along with a few extra tracks such as Junsu’s “Alive”.

2PM’s Junho and actress Kim So Eun to collaborate for ‘Music and Lyrics’





 


A new couple is set to appear on MBC Music’s ‘Music and Lyrics‘!


2PM’s Junho and actress Kim So Eun were chosen to be the new couple.


They are now the second couple to be chosen for this program. ‘Music and Lyrics’ is a variety show that is similar to MBC’s ‘We Got Married’. It shows an actress and a male artist forming a relationship while making songs.


Junho and Kim So Eun will try to make an OST for MBC’s weekend drama ‘Feast of the Gods’ through this program. This song will be for actress Song Yu Ri’s love theme in the drama.


One of the staff members of ‘Music and Lyrics’ stated, “The music director of ‘Feast of the Gods’ will personally decide if the song made by Junho and Kim So Eun is eligible for use in the drama. The song made by the two will be shown to the director without any modifications.”


The first couple on ‘Music and Lyrics’ is actress Park Shin Hye and singer Yoon Gun. Junho and Kim So Eun are set to appear sometime in April.

The Average Weight of Boy Groups


Following the popular rankings of girl groups by average height, a new chart, recording the average weight of boy groups, has attracted a lot of attention among netizens. The bar graph ranked the boy bands’ average weight from lightest to heaviest. Teen Top was the lightest with 55.1kg (121.5lbs), while 2PM took home the title as the heaviest boy group with 69.1kg (152.3lbs).
In addition, the graph draws particular attention on naming each range of weight that are divided into five big groups. Each group is indicated in colors of red, orange, yellow, green and blue, and titled, “Am I alive,” “Enough said,” “Close to average,” “The average,” and “Desirable weight.”
Many female netizens were shocked to see that some of their favorite male idols weighed approximately the same as they do. In fact, Teen Top, SHINee, Infinite, ZE:A, Twilight, and FT Island weighed under 60kg (132.3 pounds).
Netizens commented, “Teen Top and I weigh about the same...how sad,” “Oh my, they weigh less than I do! Please take some of my weight,” “I want to cry,” and more.

2PM successfully hold their concert in Hong Kong


2PM’s Hands Up Asian Tour has successfully finished on March 10 in Hong Kong, captivating numbers of Asian fans.
The last concert in Hong Kong was held on March 10 at 8 p.m. at Hong Kong Asian Expo Arena. Despite the fact that it was 2PM’s first concert in Hong Kong, all 9,000 tickets were sold out two months before the concert. 2PM went to Hong Kong on March 8, had a press interview and a promotional event (High-touch) on March 9, held the concert on March 10, and came back to Korea on March 11.
At the concert, 2PM members fascinated 9,000 audiences with their powerful performances and music. As the Hong Kong fans gave an enthusiastic response, Jun Su sang Jang Hak Woo’s “I Hurt My Heart” and impressed them.
Successfully finishing their first Asian tour with the love of 160,000 Asian fans, 2PM said, “It was great to meet the fans who love our music and spend some time with them. We promise to visit the countries again with better songs. We appreciate all our fans for supporting us all the time.”

2PM Nichkhun’s new hairstyle captures attention





A recent photo of 2PM‘s Nichkhun is gaining a lot of attention.


The above picture was posted online with the caption, “2PM arriving in Japan, Nichkhun looking like he’s going on the bus for the army.”


In the picture, Nichkhun is in sunglasses and casual clothes, waving at his fans. His short hairstyle is what surprised the fans. The witty caption is also drawing people’s attention and invoking some giggles.


Fans seemed a little surprised and reacted with, “It really looks like he’s going into the army“, “It’s hard to recognize him with short hair“, and “He still looks good.”

K-pop concert in Okinawa


K-pop stars teamed up for a K-pop concert that took place in Okinawa, Japan on March 4 for “World Music Festival in Okinawa.” The concert took place at the Okinawa Cellular Stadium and featured artists such as KARA, 2PM, Infinite, Rainbow, Secret and ZE:A, among others.
The showcase was divided into two parts, the first being the “Oh Joon-sung Drama Concert,” which saw music producer Oh Joon-sung from the hit dramas “Boys over Flowers” (2009) and “Inspector Princess” (2010), conducting a symphony orchestra. Vocal group Monday Kiz also sang hit songs such as “Goodbye My Princess” and “Paradise” which are tunes from the two dramas.
In the second part of the showcase titled, “K-pop Special Live,” idol bands took to the stage to sing their hit songs.
The festival marked the 40th anniversary of the reversion of Okinawa to Japanese administration.

2PM’s Taecyeon vs. David Beckham on the cover of ‘Men’s Health Magazine’





 


It was recently revealed in an online community that 2PM member Taecyeon of “beastly idol” fame and sexy soccer (football for non-Americans) star David Beckham were the cover models for the March issue of ‘Men’s Health Magazine‘ in Korea and England, respectively. What caught people’s attention was the fact that both men exuded their own unique brand of masculine sexiness on their covers.


The March issue of ‘Men’s Health’ marks the 6th anniversary of the Korean edition, and Taecyeon, who is the cover model, appears in just his banded training pants, revealing his masculinity through his sexy abs and muscles. David Beckham, who decorated the March cover of the English edition, caught people’s attention with his smooth sexiness.


Netizens who saw the  two covers praised Taecyeon, saying, “Total terminator of sexiness, Taecyeon, was able to beat the world’s sexiest guy Beckham“, “He’s only wearing training pants, but he’s so sexy“, and “My eyes were rolling in my head from Taecyeon’s sexy abs“.

2PM’s Taec Yeon unveils his fabulous abs



2PM’s Taec Yeon recently showed off his perfectly sexy abs for a men’s health magazine..
Men’s Health, an international men’s lifestyle magazine, is well known for choosing stars with perfect figures, as their cover models.
They carefully selected a star who will be featured on the cover for their special edition to celebrate the 6th anniversary of their creation. Since 2PM’s Taec Yeon is well known for his manly and charismatic charms, he appeared on the cover of the magazine.
In the pictorial for the magazine, Taec Yeon is not wearing a shirt and is only wearing a pair of training pants. He also talked about the secrets for a firm body.
The pants that Taec Yeon is wearing are already getting a lot of attention. They are from Freddy, a famous Italian sports brand, which is very popular among male idol stars.
The pants have a band attached at the waist part and it makes them look like underpants. They complement the abs very well and make men look sexier. The pants are a big issue among lots of men.
A spokesperson for the magazine says, “Even though he is very busy doing his oversea schedules, he shot three different styles of covers. He will also tell you how to make your body handsome. You can see Taec Yeon’s variety of charms and strengths through the magazine.”
