Happy Birthday Gerard Way

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GERARD ARTHUR WAY!!!

Yes? Is it really that obvious that I am extremely excited about this today...???

Gerard Way is the lead vocalist of the greatest band ever - My Chemical Romance. Yes, I do still love them. However, I do have admit that I've only been following them since the Black Parade era. However, I still love them. (Mikey is actually my favorite Way Brother, but hey, Gerard is pretty bad-a**...) The older of the two Way Brothers is turning 35 today!!! Woot woot!!!

I had my phase of songs about being worthless and helpless and gloomy thoughts about death. I know a few of my other friends have gone through that phase where all they listened to was Green Day, Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance, etc. etc. My story is probably not as tragic as some. I can't really say that My Chemical Romance 'saved my life' in middle school, since I had, and still have, a fear of sharp objects, things like suicide really just wasn't something that was going to happen. However, the thoughts and the curiosity was there. I kind of felt a weird connection being able to relate with Gerard when he said stuff like when he was discovering death and the fact that we're all eventually going to lose everything and everyone that we love, because of death. I've accepted that, because it's the cold, hard, cruel fact. However, I wasn't one to start moping around and wearing a lot of black. I became chirpier (kind of) and wanted to be more social than the loner, bookworm I was then.

Most of My Chemical Romance were loners in school and I could identify with that too. Except, I was more of a bookworm and just never really talked to anyone except for the teacher on occasion.

I can also identify with Gerard's fear of needles. I hate having to go get shots. It's scary!!!

At least one of them is terrified of spiders, like me. There is nothing that I hate more than spiders!

It's just that in a time where I felt like that there was no one in my life that I could connect to or relate to, this bunch of weirdo's show up in my life and show me that I'm not the only weirdo around. I love them for that.

So, Gerard Way, thank you for being you. I hope that you have an amazing birthday.

I hope that, however way you decide to spend it, that you have time for your wife and beautiful child and that together you guys make a day to never forget. Happy 35th Birthday!

(The only reason I have Gerard's Birthday Page and not Siwon's or Jonghyun's is that I typed up Gerard's before hand, because I have on-hand picture... I have no pictures of Siwon or Jonghyun on my computer and I have to go search for some good-ish pictures!!!)
