Hallyu star Lee Jun Ki has expressed his gratitude towards his Japanese fans.
Lee Jun Ki recently held a ‘High Touch (the Japanese version of High Five)’ event with 10,000 of his Japanese fans to celebrate the release of his new single ‘Deucer‘ at the Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal on March 22nd.
“I was a little nervous because I was away for two years, but the fans have been so loving and supportive during all of my events scheduled in Japan,” he said. ”That has all been a huge help to me and gave me strength to successfully conclude my events.”
He continued, “I’m so glad that I was able to meet and shake hands with each of my fans during my last day in Japan before heading back. I’m so grateful for each of them.”
And at a press conference that was held ahead of his ‘High Touch’ event, Lee Jun Ki expressed his thoughts on his ‘Coming Back‘ fan meets saying, “When I was in the army, I dreamt of meeting with my fans again, so I am very happy that my dream has come true.”
And in regards to ranking first on the Oricon charts, he remarked, “I wanted to show the fans who waited 2 long years for me that I had grown and developed during that time in the army, and I prepared this album thinking about wanting to share my happiness with them. I am not a singer, so I never even dreamed of ranking first on the Oricon charts and I am actually a bit embarrassed. I feel that ranking first was a gift from my fans and with that in mind, I will continue to do my best.”
