CastleInk Paperless Scholarship 2012: "Please be kind to the environment - think twice before you print this page."

CastleInk Paperless is running a scholarship meant for the kind-hearted and tree huggers! Well, they've been running this scholarship for a while, but I've just found out about it and I'm applying! ^_^
For fellow tree huggers and fellow recyclers, here's the link to the application and we will go head-to-head in some friendly scholarship competition: [LINK]

Recycling. We've all grown up with our teachers trying to drill those words into our heads: "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle." However, in the end, I had to Google that saying to remember what order it goes in. Is there anyone out there that has actually remembered it by heart?

Furthermore, my school barely has any recycling bins. Sure, we have some scattered throughout the campus, but seriously, who is going to hold on to their empty soda bottle until they come across the next recycling bin? Well, okay, I do, but not many other students, or teachers for that matter, do the same. I have seen so many empty soda bottles and paper just tossed in the trash can with everything else.

I recycle at home and hopefully that will decrease my footprint, but I'm thinking that there really should be something that can be done on campus. This scholarship has really made me think about this. I mean, if you're writing an essay on recycling, you kind of can't NOT think about recycling. (I know, double negative. Bad grammar. *scolds myself*) Though, seriously, I might be thinking about how I can make a difference on campus here.

I'm also thinking about making a video to go along with this too.
That will have to be a separate up-date, because I'm definitely not going to have time this weekend, and I don't even want to think about how little down time I'm going to have during the weekdays.

Oh!! Important information to fellow tree huggers and recyclers!!!
Remember to look at the RULES and the deadline is 03/31/2012, so get started!
