On March 23, the 2012 MTV TRL released the list of the five-team final candidates for World Best Fan. On the list, Big Bang put its name as the only Korean singer group.

The Awards was launched in 2006 to give prizes to Italy’s most favored musicians and music videos.

Aside from Big Bang, the list involves such big-name stars as Avril Lavigne, One Direction and Alessandra Amoroso. Big Bang has to compete with the prominent global stars to win the prize.

Big Bang won the World Wide Act prize at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards, held in Northern Ireland last year, for the first time as Korean singers.

The final winner of the 2012 MTV TRL will be decided through a vote to hold until May 5 (local time) at the MTV TRL’s official site and iTunes mobile app iMTV. The winter is planning to be announced on May 5 in Florence, Italy.
