The day is deary
and the bones are weary
what a day
what a day
above the clouds the sunlight hides
among the mist, silver tongues lies.


The earth is dreary
and the clouds are weary
what a day
what a day
still no one is slowing down
ants bustling abound
cars grumbling impatiently
hurried foot steps
splashing in the remnants of last night's rain


no on is slowing down
everyone has their own lives
why don't you little one?
come on hurry up
come on and grow up
 no one is slowing down


no one is slowing down
no one will stop
the clouds are full to the top
the gathering liquids will not stop
but it won't rain
why won't it rain
at least it may stop this pain


alas
a light
a raven in flight
dark creature with the devil's might
creature of beauty to end my blight
he flies to the distance
the clouds drag behind him


pulling away the dark clouds
the tears dry up
shedding light upon the earth
the soul can smile once more
