I remember when I visited Nami island for the first time..
This place was very idyllic and so quiet.

However, it's such a different place now..
Its name has changed to Naminara Republic..

Nami Island declared its cultural independence on 01 March 2006 and re-named itself the Naminara Republic.The Naminara Republic is an imaginary country, but it has invented its own passport, currency, stamp and telephone card, and has promoted the establishment of Naminara in other countries. A "passport" issued from Naminara is required to enter the Namisum.
That's why he first thing you see at the entrance to the place is Immigration so it feels like you're entering an another foreign country in Korea..

Next to the gate, you can buy tickets..

Visa Fees(Round-trip ferry fare & tax included)

Special : \4,000

->Age 3 to 13,

Visitors after 6:10p.m.(Dec.~Mar.),

Visitors after 7:10p.m. (Apr.~ Nov.)

**Ferry Schedule

Every 30 minutes after first ferry at 7:30 am

Every 10 ~20 minutes between 09:00~18:30

Every 30 minutes until last ferry at 21:45

As you arrive in Nami Wharf , you'll be surprised by this giant ice pillar that welcomes you and right in front of it there's a mermaid.

Some parts of Nami island feel like paths through a forest

and some feel like a very cute little playground

**How to get to Nami Island

Shuttle Bus:

There is a direct shuttle bus that leaves from Insadong in Seoul. It leaves at 9:30a.m. from the tourist bust stop next to Tapgol Park (aka Pagoda Park) and returns to Seoul at 16:00 from Nami Island (parking lot in front of the ticket office).
