Sexy girl group Secret is back with a new concept, just shortly after wrapping up promotions for their last title track, “Poison.”

Performing “Talk That” for their Inkigayo comeback stage, the four members of Secret showed off a melancholy but more grown-up image. “Talk That” features an attractive vocal melody along with an eye-catchy choreography at the hook. Secret donned various glamorous black outfits, emphasizing the more mature concept for the upcoming round of promotions.

Secret released the full music video for “Talk That” on December 4th, captivating their viewers with a slightly retro and mature concept. The group also performed their “Talk That” comeback stage on this week's episode of Music Bank.

On December 8th, idol group AKB48 held their 7th anniversary concert at AKB48 Theater in Akihabara.

AKB48 general manager Takahashi Minami placed the group’s 7th ribbon onto the two pillars of AKB48 Theater. She greeted, “It feels like we’ve started running into our 8th year. I want to go towards infinite possibilities.” Oshima Yuko added, “It’s 7. I want it to be our lucky 7.”

The concert featured a total of 87 members including SNH48’s Miyazawa Sae and Suzuki Mariya. Each of the 14 generations got to perform a song one by one. They celebrated their anniversary with 250 fans.

Maeda Atsuko, who graduated from the group in August, also sent a congratulatory message through her official Twitter account. “Congratulations on your 7 years,” she said.

Happy Birthday, Inkigayo! For today's episode of Inkigayo, IU teamed up with special MCs Lee Kikwang and Jung Yonghwa to present a special stage celebrating 700 episodes of Inkigayo.

Performing the song “Winter Child,” the trio presented a short acoustic stage that showcased their gentle voices and smooth blending. The MCs also donned cute matching headbands with the number “700″ standing up from them.

Meanwhile, Inkigayo will soon be changing up their regular hosts, as actor Lee Hyunwoo and ZE:A's Kwanghee will be joining veteran IU as the new MCs next week.

Idol group Fudanjuku started their official Facebook page on November 9, and has surpassed 10,000 “likes” in less than one month.

Even in the first week of December, the fan count has more than doubled, spurred by international promotion and the release of their new PV “Jinsei Wahaha!“ that is scheduled for release on January 9th.

Fudanjuku’s members are all successful female idols who perform as young males with “otaku” obsessions. Fudanjuku’s official Facebook page posts messages in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese.

The group’s members are hoping to reach a worldwide audience after the release of their latest album “OTOKO” earlier this year.

On December 8th, it was announced that actress Aragaki Yui has been chosen as the host for TBS’ annual music awards show, ‘The 54th Kagayaku! Japan Record Awards‘ that will be aired on the 30th.

Aragaki commented, “This will be my first time participating in this show. I’m little anxious honestly, but I would like to prepare physically and mentally, and want to fulfill my duty sufficiently so that everybody can enjoy it as the completion of this year. I’ll do my best and enjoy it!”

Together with Aragaki, TBS announcer Azumi Shinichiro will also take part as a host. Azumi has been a host assistant since 2001. Now, after 12 years, he will receive the baton from Sakai Masaaki, who had been the host for 16 years.

On the 30th, the winner of the grand prize, “Japan Record Award“, will be chosen among the 10 winners of the “Best Song” category, while “Best New Artist” will be chosen among the 4 winners of the “New Artist” category. (You can check our previous post for the nominees for those awards.)
