General FAQ

• What is streaming video?

Streaming video is video delivered over the Internet via a modem or broadband connection.

• Why is it called "streaming"?

It's called "streaming" because the sound and picture data flow in a digital stream from a server computer to your computer, ready to hear or view in real time, without having to download all of the content before you can enjoy it. It comes to you in a stream of digital bits... hence the term "streaming."

• How do I find out which streaming movies are available?

Use the MOVIE INDEX, located at the top of the side bar. The index displays a list of all availabe KMVs from this site. You may also use the SEARCH/FIND function to locate movies by actors, actress, directors, etc.

You may also click on each labels located at the end of the post to search for movies by casts and genre. Clicking on the labels will enable you to view all movies associated with it.

• Who made these movies available?

All movies are uploaded by fans of Korean movies. All streaming movies are English subbed by fansubbers to enable the non Korean speakers to enjoy and appreciate Korean movies. Credit goes first to the dedicated fansubbers for opening the door and paving the way. Uploading a complete movie is very time consuming. Most of the uploaders hardsubbed their own files. Since both youtube and dailymotion impose a file size and time limitation on video uploads, we have to also split the files on our own. It is recommended that you contact the uploader and thank them for their hardwork and generosity. A word of appreciation goes a long way in ensuring that we can continue enjoying the free KMVs.

• How I do watch the movies?

Locate the Playlist URL links or individual parts links, e.g Part 1, Part 2. Part 3 and so on.
Clicking on either links will bring you to the site hosting the videos, in this case, youtube.com, dailymotion.com. or crunchyroll.com. Sometimes, you will also be forwarded to another hosting site, peekvid.com or veoh.com
Videos hosted on stage6.divx.com are accessible through the Watch It Here links. You have to download the divx web player before you can access the vids.

• What is the embedded player?

This player allow users to watch the movies without having to sign in to youtube.com. Please note that not all KMovies have embedabble players. In this case, just follow the steps above and click on the Playlist URL to watch. Please note that some parts in the player are not in order as the original playlist are not organized. I am not the playlist creator and I can't rearrange them. Just scroll down or up to see the parts in order.

• The movie in the embedded player won't load! Why?

Some KMovies are set to private. Please read the Youtube FAQ section for more information.

• Do I need to download special software to watch the movies?

To play videos on Dailymotion, you need the Macromedia Flash plugin (preferred) or the Apple Quicktime plugin to be installed on your computer. You can download the latest version of the Macromedia Flash plugin here, and the latest version of the Apple Quicktime plugin here.

All of the videos on YouTube are streamed through a Flash player, so you need to have the latest version of Macromedia Flash installed on your computer. To download it, please visit Adobe.

To play videos on Stage6, you need the DivX web player, which is part of the DivX bundles offered on ther site for Windows or Mac.

• Are the movies free or do I have to pay to watch?

All movies are freely available.


Youtube FAQ

• Do I need to register?

No, you do not need to register to watch videos. However, you need to register in order to watch private videos, post comments and to use all other features. I strongly recommend that you register with youtube as a majority of movies featured on this site are set to private.Read more about private videos below. The same applies to dailymotion.com

• When I try to watch a video, I receive this message. "This is a private video. Please make sure you accept the senders friend request". What is a private video?

You receive the message because the videos have been set to private. Private videos can only be viewed by someone in the friend or family list. Users in youtube can choose to publish their videos privately and allow access to only those in their friend's/family's list.

• How can I access a private video?

Send a friend request to the uploader and wait untill you get accepted as a friend.

• How do I send a friend request?
  

You can check on the desired uploader's profile and follow the specific instruction. You can also use the "add as a friend" button located in the main page profile.

• How long does it take to be accepted as a friend?

It depends on the uploader and how fast they can accept your request. Just remember it takes time to process all friend request so just be patient.

• What happend after I get accepted as a friend?

You will recieved the private videos notification through your email and bulletins announcing of recent uploads. (Some uploaders may not announce their newest uploads through bulletins as this is an individual choice)

• Until when can I watch/keep the movie in my list?

The video will be available anytime or untill the uploader decided to take them down. If the user is suspended, you will no longer be able to watch the videos.

• Help! My videos are stuck! My videos won't play! I can't hear the audio!

Dailymotion FAQ

• I clicked on the playlist URL and this message pop up *Content Rejected*! What did I do wrong?

The reason why you are seeing this message is because dailymotion has seemingly rejected the movie from their database. But fear not, there is a trick in which you can easily access all the so-called *Rejected Content* Please visit this site for information on how to bypass this message and gain full access to the movies.


VEOH FAQ

• How can I watch full length movie without having to download the VEOH player?
• How do I bypass the 5 min preview limit?

Try this technique :

1. Load the movie
2. Point and hold the blue player bar (buffering/time indicator) on the player
3. Slide the blue bar all the way to the end
   
4. Hit the (CLOSE) button located on the left hand corner, just beneath the blue bar
5. Reload the movie
6. Slide the blue bar again, repeating step 2 and 3
7. Once the movie stops, replay
   
8. If you do it correctly, the movie will keep on playing pass the 5 min mark!

(May Not Work on All Vids)

• Can I download the videos from youtube or dailymotion to my computer?

Yes! They are several methods in which you can grab the videos and download it to your computer. I recommend using this website. Go to the website and follow the instructions. It's very user friendly and easy to navigate.

Alternately, you may also install a Firefox extension and use an FLV player. Click here or here for more information.

• Where can I download movies and upload it myself?

There are many sites which you can obtain this information. Please visit my Links and check out the websites listed.

• I really like this movie ABC. Where can I purchase the original DVD with English Subs?

If you have enjoyed the movies featured here, you are encouraged to purchase the original DVD. As you already know, streaming videos' quality are pretty bad. Because of this, you may not be able to enjoy the movie thoroughly. Besides, purchasing the DVD will enable you to enjoy many extra features which includes but not limited to interviews with the cast and director, behind the scenes look, deleted and extended scenes, audio commentarty, and more. • How often do I get to see new movies? How often do you update your blog?

Whenever possible, I update daily. As long as they are new KMVs available either in youtube or dailymotion, I will list them on my page. Also, you can help me by informing me on any new KMVs available which is not in the MOVIE INDEX yet.
